Got a bit excited when looking at the Art Group website when I realised I was in the same category as Picasso, yes...admittedly this is only as I have a surname starting with a 'P' but hey I'm going to enjoy it anyway!!

Weird colour test picture

I finished a big painting today that I have been working on sporadically for 9 months...it's been a bit of a labour of love! This is one of the many scrappy bits of paper I have colour tested on - I always like these weird little pictures!

Say it with snails!

When I was listening to Adam and Joe on BBC 6 some time last year they read a poem written by a listener when she was a child called ' Say it with snails' - I thought was the best thing ever....so I made some brooches in honour of her. They are lazer cut acrylic on screen-printed card backs. I have some in stock at the Here Shop in Bristol if you want to say it with snails, or cats..or leaves, I think they are £8/£9.

According to my Mum all the animals I draw look wistful, but I think this one is more bemused...



...and this one just looks like Buddy Holly.
